MICROLAX® is indicated for the relief of occasional constipation and for use as a bowel cleansing regimen in preparation for X-ray examination and rectoscopy.
MICROLAX® is a fast-acting microenema which works to soften stool and gently assist with bowel movements usually within 5 to 15 minutes.
MICROLAX® microenema is available in two pack sizes, 4 x 5 ml and 12 x 5 ml.
To be sure this product is right for you, always read and follow the directions on the label and package insert.
Squeeze the tube slightly so that a drop of MICROLAX® solution appears at the tip in order to provide lubrication for easier insertion. For children under 3 years of age, only half the length of the nozzle should be inserted into the rectum (as indicated on the nozzle).
Gently squeeze the full contents of the tube (5 ml) into the rectum.
Remove tube neck from the rectum, keeping the tube compressed. Slightly tense your buttocks to prevent the solution running out and throw the used microenema away.
Within 5-15 minutes of application, you should be able to gently empty your bowels without suffering the unwanted effects other laxatives can bring.
After use, dispose of the microenema – so easy and hygienic.
